How can Wingreen help?

Popular:

Your test or system

Can I move the monitor during a test?
Please leave it exactly where it was placed and keep closed-house conditions until Wingreen picks it up. Moving the monitor will likely invalidate the test, and it may need to be run again.

How often should I retest after mitigation?
At least every two years, and again after renovations, a new heating system or changes to the foundation. A test after installation also confirms a new system is doing its job.

When will I get my test results?
Usually 3–5 business days after the monitor is picked up. Your report is posted to your portal, with a message when it is ready.

How do I read my radon report?
Your result is in picocuries per liter (pCi/L). What your number means explains each range and what is recommended.

Did this answer your question?

My result is high. What should I do?
Mitigation is recommended for any measurable level, and especially at or above 4.0 pCi/L. Most systems are installed in a single day. Open a ticket or call to plan the next step.

What does the gauge on my system show?
The U-shaped gauge on the pipe shows the fan is drawing air. When the liquid levels are uneven, it is working. If both sides are level, check the fan's switch and breaker, then open a ticket to have it checked.

My fan is making a new noise.
A change in sound can mean the fan needs attention. Open a ticket with a short description (a quick video helps) to arrange a check.

Scheduling and visits

What does closed-house mean?
ANSI/AARST radon testing standards call for closed-house conditions. For a short-term test they begin 12 hours before the test starts and stay in place until the monitor is picked up:
  • Windows closed on every level of the home, including rooms not being tested.
  • Outside doors closed, except for normal coming and going.
  • Heating or cooling running at normal settings, between 65 and 80 °F.
  • Systems that bring in outdoor air set to their lowest seasonal setting, and whole-house fans off.
  • Fireplaces unused, unless one is the main source of heat.
  • Clothes dryers, range hoods and bathroom fans used sparingly.

Do I need to be home for the visit?
Not always. Share access details when you book, and Wingreen will arrange what works.

How do I reschedule a visit?
Use Reschedule on the visit in your portal, or call. Changes close to the appointment may carry a fee under your Order Form.

I sent an inquiry but never made an account.
Your inquiry is saved either way. Go to Sign in and enter the email you used on the inquiry: an activation link is emailed to you, and opening it sets up your portal with your inquiry in it.

The sign-in email never arrived.
Check spam or promotions, and make sure you used the same email as on your inquiry. Links expire after a while, so ask for a new one from the sign-in page any time. Still nothing? Open a ticket.

Did this answer your question?

Where is my client ID?
At the top of your portal, and in the email you received after your first inquiry. Use it when you call or open a ticket.
